Mark and Eileen Fischer’s story is one of a life inextricably tied to the water. A lifelong passion that began on Long Island and has only grown deeper with every mile logged and every friendship formed along the way. Mark grew up surrounded by boats and by ten he had his own little dinghy with an outboard. He later built his own 16-foot Glasspar and spent his teenage years blasting around the bay and attending offshore powerboat races with good friend and Superboat founder John Coen. It wasn’t just the speed that captivated him, it was the freedom, the escape from everyday life, and the simple joy of being out on the water with no phones or distractions.
When the couple moved from New York to Florida, they dove headfirst into the powerboating community, joining the Florida Powerboat Club in 2000, and enjoying poker runs across the state and down to the Bahamas and Cuba. They progressed to bigger, faster, custom boats while Mark transitioned from enthusiast to dealer to taking over Deep Impact Custom Boats in 2013. Together, Mark and Eileen built successful businesses, but boats were always the true passion and the thread that ran through everything. After selling their automotive company in 2019, they finally had the chance to slow down and enjoy the lifestyle they had worked so hard for.
Today, Mark and Eileen are fully hands-on with Deep Impact Custom Boats, personally guiding sales, marketing, and the brand’s direction. Mark still tests and runs the boats extensively, racking up thousands of miles, while Eileen’s input on comfort and livability helps ensure every boat feels as welcoming as it is capable. Along the way they continue to create memorable experiences with the friends they have made through decades on the water.
At its core, their philosophy is simple and heartfelt: boating has always been more passion and hobby than pure business. The trips they take together are unforgettable, and the people they have met along the way have become lifelong friends. Their spirit of joy, adventure, and genuine connection now infuses every Deep Impact they build and every customer they welcome into the family.
